What did you do this past week?

This week I met with my partners to discuss the idea for our project and we are currently implementing the static pages. We had to redo our idea 3 times because the first time, we couldn’t find enough information, the second time, our models were too similar, and the third time, we found out we weren’t using RESTful API’s.

What’s in your way?

None of us have done web development before, so we’re slowly getting through with what we need to for the project. There are just so many parts to this project that we need to finish. ON TOP of school and recruiting, but we’re all feeling the pain right now.

What will you do next week?

Next week will be phase 2 of the project, so we’ll be figuring out how to get the backend up to have dynamic pages. I think.. I’m not actually sure of what we’ll be doing.

What was your experience of types, object models, and iterators?

There is a lot more to Python than I thought there was previously. I thought Python was this pseudo code language, but there are still many nuances to it that make the implementation interesting. I need to make a chart that has a list of the data structures and types to get everything straight.

What made you happy this week?

It was my birthday this week along with my parent’s anniversary and my sister’s birthday. Yeah, that’s a lot I know. My family all came back home for this weekend so we had a full house for the first time in a while. It was nice to reminisce and watch movies.

What’s your pick-of-the-week or tip-of-the-week?

Since most things are online, you can go anywhere to take classes! I’m actually at Epoch right now studying :)
